By Greg Hollingsworth
Received this bag the other day as a replacement for my Datrek stand bag that had developed a large tear. Lots of nice features, but a few things that could have been done better.
The pockets, though they are numerous, are not well thought out. For instance, the bag has a rather large pocket for a golf gps device, while the "valuables" pocket would barely hold a smart phone, certainly not a wallet. Two other things; I've never seen a golf gps device that would require a pocket as large as this bag has and I'm guessing that golfers who are shopping for bags in the $80-85 range, aren't dropping a couple hundred on a tom-tom for golfing.
The stand is configured very nicely and the bag stands upright quite well without it. The feet pads don't do so well on smooth concrete, so be careful in the garage, but work fine on other surfaces.
The individual full length dividers and the 14-way top are perfect. The strap is very comfortable and really well balanced (far better than my last Datrek which had an Izzo strap) and the head cover sack is a nice touch (wasn't even sure what it was for at first).
All in all, I'd definitely recommend it as an inexpensive option for the semi-regular golfer who likes to carry.
